Brett Meets the Monster Trucks

Grandma and Grandpa Marshall took Paul, Brett and cousin Chase to the Monster Truck races at Rio Tinto Stadium last night. Brett had a great time watching the really big and loud trucks plus he got to stuff himself with all his favorite foods and Chuck a Rama.

Back to School For Trey

"I'm ready, let's get this show on the road."
Trey has been sleeping in the last couple of weeks until 9am or so. Well, Wednesday the 18th he was awake and ready to get dressed at 7am. He knew he was going back to school.

"Bye mom, see ya later!"
I'm so grateful that Trey likes school and does well there. I don't know what I would do if he didn't like it and was misserable. I would feel awful having him there if I knew he didn't like it. So luckily I don't have to worry about that.
He is with the same school bus driver and bus aide, and also with the same teacher and aides.
Good luck in 2nd grade, Trey!

Trip to see the Dinosaurs

Could you get any cuter of a picture?

Xavier, Brett, Trey, Ellie
Ellie wanted to go be with the dinosaur bones.

Trey, Brett, Xavier, Grandma Chris and Ellie Jean and JAWS!

Digging for dinosaur bones.

Brett is really starting to like dinosaurs and so we took a trip up to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum. Cousin Xavier came with us and so did Grandma Marshall.
We had a great time and Brett just wanted to learn everything.
Brett is already asking to go back. :)

July 24th Celebration

We live in a great town with a hometown 24th celebration. Mapleton puts on a great parade and this year there was entries from the new high school (Maple Mountain High School). Brett got some candy, which all the kids really care about. The parade is fun, but short (maybe 20 min.) then it is off to the park for fun and food.
That night we host a dinner and fireworks for friends and family. Mapleton City fireworks are at the park just a block away from our home so from our backyard we have the best view.
Here is just a little bit of what we saw this year.
