Arrow of Light

It has been fun for Trey to be in Cub Scouts the last few years.  He has enjoyed going and being with the other boys.
It was close but Trey received his Webelos Badge and Arrow of Light before he turned 11.  Here are a few pictures from the night.

Yep I'm wearing a scout shirt.  I have been one of the wolves den leaders since just a couple of months after Trey turned 8 and went into wolves.  I have stayed with the wolf den and Trey has moved on to the other dens when he had birthdays.  He likes to be places without mom.

Blue and Gold Dinner

In February was the Blue and Gold Dinner for the Cub Scouts. It was a great night. Trey received his wolf badge and some arrow points. Each boy was spotlighted and one of the questions they asked the parents of each boy was "If your boy was a super hero who would he be?". I told them, Super Man, because Trey is super and tough!

We had the boys display some of the things they had done in scouts this past year. Trey had his "collection" of textures, airplane and rocket made at day camp, bean bags, and derby car.

Trey loves Cub Scouts, he loves to be there with the other boys and doing the activities. The boys are really good with him too! :)
The last Wednesday in January Paul and I were gone to Florida so I had my mom take Trey to cub scouts on that day. Well, the other leader had changed the activity so I wasn't aware that they would not be at the church house. My mom took Trey to the church house to find that the wolves were not there but the bears were and the leaders found out where the wolves were so my mom could take Trey. As my mom was wheeling Trey out of the church she said he started the most sad little cry and whine she had ever heard. He thought he wasn't going to scouts. And where they got to the place where the scouts where he was all smiles.

Trey in Cub Scouts

Yep, Trey has started Cub Scouts. He got to go to some of the May activities because they don't do a whole lot of stuff during the summer.
He held tight on to the paint brush while I guided the paint brush on the egg carton, it is so he can start a collection of something (we haven't decided what that is going to be).
Then he made his own habitat. He loves sub scouts, being with the other boys and out doing something different.
He has also painted a bird house and now his daddy needs to help him assemble that.
On June 5 he will be helping at the car wash fundraiser and then on the 21st of June is day camp and Paul will be going with him to that.
It is really fun to see him get to do stuff like this and the leaders in our ward have been amazing to get him involved and see what would be good for him.
