Brett's 1st Friend Birthday Party

Sept. 24, 2011
Brett for his birthday wanted a friend party. This was his first friend party and it was fun. Brett asked for a Transformer themed party so I went to work planning it.

I looked at shaping the cake like Optimus or Bumble Bee but I just didn't think it would work out good and so I figured I could use a Bumble Bee car that he could play with later.

The first game was "Bomb Barricade". Paul played Barricade and the kids took water balloons and tried to throw them at him. They had fun with that!

Second game was "Decepitcons vs Autobots". Baically it was freeze tag.

Talk about a game that gets a ton of energy out of them.

Third game was "Freeze Megatron". So in the movie Megatron is frozen and held by the humans. Well, a little decepticon gets into the building and turns off the freezing machines so the kids need to cover him with ice and freeze him again. It was a relay game with two teams.

And the ever popular pinata. Poor Optimus lost a leg!

Splitting up the pinata loot.

I think the kids had a wonderful time and Paul and I had a good time doing the party. Happy 6th Birthday to my wonderful, amazing Brett!

Happy 9th Birthday Trey

June 10th was Trey's 9th Birthday. We celebrated by giving him his first ever friend party on Saturday the 11th.

We invited a few kids we know and a few kids from his class at school and then his best friend, Easton.

I wanted to make it fun but low key enough that the kids wouldn't have problems. You learn real quick with kids with special needs you need to role with the punches and be ready for anything without being stressed.

The theme was "Super Heros".

I made red capes for everyone to decorate how they wanted. Bubbles were blown. We ate cake and ice cream and then played a few games. We played pin the "S" on Superman, had a pinata, and then silly stringed a villan. I think the silly string was everyone's favorite. Paul was a great sport to play the villan.
Here are some pictures from the fun day.

This is a big present!

Oh NO! The villan is coming.

Get Him!

I don't think that villan will be back any time soon!

Opening presents - what kid doesn't like that.

Trey's first friend Birthday Party Invite

Trey came home last week with an invite to a classmates birthday party. I was so excited and thought "how cool is this!" I decided right then and there, for Trey's 9th birthday in June he is going to have his first friend party. Why not? I've had questions and concerns about doing a friend party, but what the heck, we are going to do it and it will be great.
Anyway back to this party. Paul took him because I still had a nasty cough and sinus issues so I didn't want to be around these special little people and risk getting them sick. Paul text me these two pictures and messages about how much fun Trey was having.
